Truth
Substance before performance.
“The spirit of truth and the spirit of freedom - they are the pillars of society.”Henrik Ibsen
About
The name is the reason.
Most advisory work starts with the organization: brand, narrative, issues, campaigns. Then it asks the leader to speak for that institution.
We start with the person.
Visibility is easier to attain than ever. Anyone can publish, post and look present. Attention is the scarce commodity. A packaged, professional-looking brand is no longer enough. People look for substance they can recognize: a real point of view, earned knowledge, and authority that holds up when tested.
A public figure is someone whose ideas, judgment and reputation influence how markets, institutions and audiences decide what to trust.
Being visible is not the same as having authority that travels.
A public figure, as we use the term, is not a celebrity and not a personal brand. It is a person whose knowledge has been shaped into intellectual capital, and whose authority can create value for the organization, industry or public they serve.
Politics and entertainment understood the public person earlier than most of business did. They learned how to position someone, give ideas a narrative and a platform, build an audience, and manage reputation under scrutiny.
Corporate communications has traditionally treated the leader as an extension of the institution. Sometimes that is enough. Increasingly, it is not.
Boards, markets, governments, employees and the public read the person as well as the institution. We take the discipline of the public figure and apply it to leadership, then connect that authority back to the organization, industry and audiences around them.
Our Purpose
We help established experts at the crossroads turn what they uniquely know into intellectual capital, authority and influence, so they can widen their circle of impact, grow their wealth and build a lasting legacy.
Our Values
Substance before performance.
“The spirit of truth and the spirit of freedom - they are the pillars of society.”Henrik Ibsen
Order is the engine that gives ideas structure, so other people can understand and use them.
“Order and simplification are the first steps toward mastery of a subject. The actual enemy is the unknown.”Thomas Mann
We cannot put words to beauty. We just know it is there. It is unique. It inspires; it is felt and remembered.
“There is no excellent beauty that has not some strangeness in proportion.”Francis Bacon
Reputation earned through conduct, not only communication.
“No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.”Calvin Coolidge
A position worth standing behind, not an audience-tested pose.
“Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all the others.”Winston Churchill
